The Trail Bay Pedestrian Pier day float has been re-installed. A District contractor will be making final adjustments in the coming days to allow the float to be re-opened for public use. These adjustments can only be made when wind conditions permit, so an exact date for the re-opening cannot be announced.
Once float is re-opened, the public is encouraged to enjoy the float responsibly and safely. Be aware that there is one rescue ring/bouy available on the pier for use in emergencies.
The float, which was added to the Pedestrian Pier in 2010, was removed after the anchoring system was damaged in a storm in August, 2015.
