Tax Sale

If a property within the District of Sechelt has delinquent (2015) taxes owing against it, the District will begin proceedings to recover those costs through its annual tax sale. Taxes are considered to be delinquent if unpaid for three years. Delinquent taxes are subject to interest charges, as detailed in section 245 and 246 of the Community Charter .

The Tax Sale is a public auction in accordance with sections 645 to 672 of the Local Government Act held each year on the last Monday of September. The District of Sechelt will NOT BE conducting its annual property Tax Sale on Monday September 25, 2017, at 10:00 AM in the meeting room on the first floor of 5797 Cowrie Street, Sechelt BC.

All properties have been removed from the Tax Sale list for the 2017 Tax Sale.
