Snow Removal & Seasonal Office Closure

Property owners in the District of Sechelt are reminded of the requirement to remove snow and ice from sidewalks and pathways adjacent to their properties within 24 hours of a snowfall (Bylaw 516-2, 2017). District of Sechelt staff are responsible for clearing walking areas adjacent to District buildings and facilities. We appreciate the assistance of the public in keeping pedestrian routes safely passable during the winter months.

The District Office will close at 4:30pm on Friday, December 22, 2017 and re-open at 8:30am on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. The closure impacts office staff only; staff in Public Works, Parks, and the RCMP Detachment are not impacted. Urgent situations related to District of Sechelt operations or facilities should be directed to the afterhours telephone line at 1.866.951.7450.
