The District of Sechelt is inviting artists to apply for the opportunity to display their work in the Rockwood Lodge during the 2019 Sunshine Coast Art Crawl (October 18 – 20, 2019). There are two seperate spaces in the Lodge that can be used. The lower level space can accommodate 1 to 4 artists working in 2-D (painting, drawing, printmaking etc.), and the main floor space can accommodate 1 to 3 artists working in 3-D (jewelry, pottery, small crafts etc.)
The newly renovated Rockwood Lodge Community Arts Space is a 750 sq. ft. room located on the lower level of the Rockwood Lodge heritage building at 5511 Shorncliffe Ave. in Sechelt. All walls have art rails for hanging 2D artwork. Tables and chairs are available upon request.
The main floor of the Rockwood Lodge still captures the original look and feel of the 1920s lodge with tables that can be used for displaying 3D artwork or crafts. Both levels are wheelchair accessible and include a kitchen and accessible bathroom.
Deadline to apply is Friday, June 14, 2019. Click here to download application details.
