Sechelt Awards Multi-Year Grants to Local Non-Profits

The District of Sechelt recently awarded multi-year grants to six local non-profit and charity organizations. A total of $73,487 in grants were distributed amongst the Sunshine Coast Community Services; Restorative Justice; the Sunshine Coast Arts Council; the Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts; Transportation Choices of the Sunshine Coast; and the Sunshine Coast Community Resource Centre. “These 3-year grants have been a huge benefit to our local non–profit organizations as they give them certainty of funding for planning and provision purposes,” said Mayor Siegers. “The programs and services offered by these groups are valued by our community and they help make Sechelt a great place to live.” 

The multi-year CIP Grants are intended to support non-profit and charitable organizations that provide programs, services and events that benefit of residents of Sechelt. Each organization was awarded a 3-year funding agreement intended to provide an increased amount of stability for their operations.
