Sechelt, BC – Two Community Budget 2020 Meetings have been scheduled for Wed April 29. These meetings will be conducted on the Zoom online platform to include as many members of the public as possible. Members of the public are encouraged to join online or by phone.
Director of Financial Services, David Douglas, will provide an overview of the District of Sechelt budget process for 2020, followed by an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions.
Director Douglas said, “we have had to make some changes to our regular budgeting process for this year in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, but Council is aiming for a strategy that lightens the burden on tax payers as much as possible, while maintaining our current level of service and moving forward on important projects for our community. We look forward to hearing from the public on the current draft budget”.
