Posted: 196 days ago

Across the province, Fortis BC and Fresh Air Cinema have been bringing communities together and raising money for local charities with their outdoor movie events. Together they have been able to make an impact for Food Banks, Hospitals, Non-Profit groups and Mental Health Associations, and are doing their best to give back to families that need it in the wake of Covid-19.

The FortisBC and Fresh Air Cinema event for Sechelt will be on August 28th & August 29th at Hackett Park with a showing of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982 ) on August 28th and Jaws (1975) on August 29th. Tickets will go live at on Aug 17th at 6:00pm via Eventbrite. 100% of all donations collected will be donated to the Habitat for Humanity Sunshine Coast.

The gates will open at 7:20pm sharp and the movie will begin at approximately 8:20pm. This is a FREE by donation event. However, tickets are still required. Tickets are per car, not per person! Tickets are limited to 50 cars per film and purchases at the gate will not be allowed. Social Distancing rules MUST be followed. This event follows the current guidelines provided by the Provincial Health Authority and are subject to change as social distance guidelines change. Those not obeying the policies will be asked to leave the event immediately.

We would also like to thank the following partners: FortisBC (Presenting Partner), District of Sechelt (Event Partner) as well as Encorp Return It (Provincial Partner) who have supported Fresh Air Cinema for many years.
