Free outdoor concerts return to Sechelt

Posted: 340 days ago

Live concerts are returning to Sechelt this summer with the annual Summer Music Series hosted by the District of Sechelt. District staff worked with Vancouver Coastal Health to ensure the outdoor concerts meet current health guidelines.

All concerts feature local musicians and take place on the lawn next to the Sechelt Public Library at 5797 Cowrie Street on Saturdays from 12 – 2pm. The free 9-concert series kicks off July 3rd at 12pm with singer/songwriter Michelle Morand, followed by the Corner Table trio at 1pm.

“The time and location take advantage of the Sechelt Farmers’ Market’s hours. It is an opportunity to enjoy a picnic lunch in a beautiful setting, with some music before or after your trip to the Library,” said Arts, Culture and Communications Coordinator, Siobhan Smith.

A complete list of scheduled performances can be found online at Sechelt.ca/musicseries. Updates, photos, and videos of the concerts are posted to the Sechelt Summer Music Series Facebook page.

The 2020 Summer Music Series was held virtually and those videos can be found online at Sechelt.ca/musicseries.
