NOTICE OF TAX SALE
Public notice is hereby given that on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 10:00am in the
Community Meeting Room at the District of Sechelt Municipal Office Building, 5797
Cowrie Street, Sechelt, BC; the Collector will conduct the annual tax sale. Pursuant to Section 647 of the Local Government Act, the following parcels will be offered for sale by public auction if the delinquent taxes and interest are not paid by the above date.

Any person upon being declared the successful bidder must immediately provide his/ her name and address, and pay by cash, certified cheque or bank draft a minimum of not less than the upset price. Failure to pay this amount will result in the property promptly being offered for sale again. The balance of the bid must be paid in by cash, certified cheque, or bank draft by 2:00pm
on September 27, 2021. Failure to pay the balance will result in the property being offered for sale again at 10:00am on the following day.
The District of Sechelt makes no representation express or implied as to the condition or quality of the properties. Prospective purchasers are urged to inspect the properties and make all necessary inquiries to municipal and other government departments, and in the case of strata lots of the strata corporation, to determine the existence of any bylaws, restrictions, charges or other conditions which may affect the value or suitability of the property.
The purchase of a tax sale property is subject to tax under the Property Transfer Tax Act on the fair market value of the property.
Prospective purchasers are hereby advised that any purchase of tax sale property will be subject to a one-year redemption period by the registered owner, an owner of a registered charge against the property or another person on their behalf.
