News Release - Sechelt 2021 budget focusses on economic recovery


The District of Sechelt Council passed the 2021 budget unanimously at a special meeting of Council on May 12, 2021. The budget includes a 9.7% property tax increase with 6.7% of this going to operations and the remaining 3% to capital reserves. For the average residential property valued at $638,517 that will be a property tax increase of $128. While there is no increase to the sewer parcel tax, there is a 17%, or $84 increase for sewer user fees for the average residential property.

Call for Artists - Wraps, Banners, and a Mural


The District of Sechelt is seeking artists for three public art projects - Street Banners; Utility Box Wraps; and a Mural at Hackett Park.
