On Friday May 8, 2020 at a special council meeting the District of Sechelt Council adopted a five-year financial plan bylaw in accordance with Provincial requirements. The financial plan includes a General capital budget of $13,959,158 and a Sewer capital budget of $1,776,550 for a total capital of $15,735,708.
A number of capital projects and operating expenses were cut from the original proposal presented to Council in January to produce a balanced budget with a tax increase of 3.8 % which is equivalent to $78 per average residential property.
