News Release - Sunshine Coast governments and community groups develop housing action plan

The District of Sechelt’s Housing Committee spearheaded a community meeting on March 1 to address the urgent need to provide safe and secure housing for residents of the Sunshine Coast. This collective of community groups, local governments, and the federal MP developed a Call to Action to take back to their respective organizations and governments for endorsement and support. A commitment was made by all to meet and identify initiatives that could be moved forward immediately and create the structures to make them happen. This collective is lead and managed by elected officials and community group representatives.
