Stage 1 outdoor water use restrictions come into effect annually on May 1 as guided by the Region's Drought Management Plan and apply to all SCRD water users.
Results of monthly wastewater effluent monitoring, including Fecal Coliforms counts for testing locations throughout the District.
The District of Sechelt recently awarded the Sunshine Coast Cold Weather Shelter with a grant for $9,000.
The District of Sechelt was one of 150 communities throughout BC to receive a grant. Sechelt will receive $65,000 to repair and restore the Rockwood Lodge.
It is noted that the ammonia result is above the regulatory limit. Higher than normal results could be due to seasonal changes with regards to the biological process (microbes) in the treatment process.
