It’s no surprise that with all the nice weather we’ve had, our ground and forests are tinder dry. Simply put, a wildfire or even a structure fire in Sechelt would be disastrous – so please, please, be extra careful!

Sani Dump Now Open

The Sani Dump is now open!
Location: 5400 Dusty Road, just off of Sechelt Inlet Road.
Coast: $10 per use, card only payment
As the station is located at the District of Sechelt Operations Centre, please refrain from blocking the entrance, exit and parking spaces. Use the pullout area on Dusty Road to wait.

Property taxes are due July 4, 2023
Residents are encouraged to pay on time to avoid a 10 per cent penalty which is automatically applied to unpaid taxes after the deadline.

Ever wondered where septage from septic tanks, porta potties, sludge from our community sewer system and even the collections on BC Ferries go? To the septage receiving facility here in Sechelt.
The septage receiving facility on Dusty Road is coming to the end of its operational life and the lease for the property expires in 2031. We're looking ahead now so that plans are in place to make a possible shift to a new facility easily.

Construction Begins on Active Transportation Route
Just in time for GoByBike week, MLA Nicholas Simons, Mayor Henderson and students from West Sechelt Elementary dug golden shovels into the ground to kick off construction of Sechelt’s newest active transportation route and expansion.
