Future Sechelt: Our Path to 2045

The District of Sechelt is excited to begin work on a much needed refresh of the District’s Official Community Plan.
As part of the Official Community Plan (OCP) update the District of Sechelt and partners (Sunshine Coast Regional District and shíshálh Nation) are undertaking a Community Land Development Analysis (CLDA). Last year, the District was successful in securing a grant to fund the CLDA. Using this grant, we will develop the CLDA by looking at Sechelt through four lenses:

If you have a business, dog or STR, it's time to renew your licence!
Due to the Canada Post strike, we are unable to receive payment through the mail - please do not send payment via Canada Post at this time. We are also unable to mail out the physical licences.

Ways to honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Learning and commemorating the truth about our history is an important path of reconciliation. Remembering our past, reflecting, learning and understanding – this is reconciliation. Everyone in Sechelt and beyond has the opportunity to memorialize the children lost to the residential school system and honour Survivors and their families.
Here are some ways to act and help advance reconciliation:
- Commemorate and walk with shíshálh Nation on Monday, September30.

Community Safety Meeting #2

Join us for the second community safety meeting.
Meeting Details- Thursday, October 3rd
- 6:30 pm , doors will open at 6
- A mix of speakers, public interaction and small table discussions.
As there is a capacity limit at the Sechelt Seniors Activity Centre, we encourage people to sign up early. If capactiy is reached on the sign up sheet, a second date will be added.
