On Thursday, November 30, 2023, the District of Sechelt Council sent the following letter to the Sunshine Coast Regional District:

handyDart Service Review

The Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) and BC Transit have launched a review of the handyDart bus Service.
The handyDart is an accessible door-to-door shared transit service for people with permanent or temporary disabilities that prevent them from using fixed route transit without assistance from another person.
Please share your important feedback and insight of this system. Your voice helps shape the future of handyDart services in Sechelt.

Downtown Gas Main Installations

For the month of November, Fortis BC will be installing gas main lines in areas of downtown Sechelt. Please note: schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather, etc. Work will not take place on Sundays.
Oct 25 - Nov 1: Mermaid Street
Nov 2 - 6: Ocean Avenue
Nov 7 - 14: Cowrie/Shorncliffe
Nov 4, 18, 25: Barnacle Street (rock blasting)
Nov 15-25, 28-30: Barnacle Street
