Public Art
Guided by the 2013 Public Art Program & Policy, the District of Sechelt's Public Art Collection enriches the quality of life for both residents and visitors alike through the display of art in public places, and by preserving and collecting artworks that are significant to our local cultural heritage. Visit our public art collection page to learn more about each artwork.

Creating Community Art
In the summer of 2022, the District of Sechelt commissioned artist Emily Gray to transform our Hackett Park amphitheatre seating into a vibrant community-made public art piece. The result was the beautiful "Weaving Patterns & Rhythms" mural, created with the help of over 100 community volunteers. Additional photos and details from this project are available on our Community Art webpage.

Public Art Talks
In 2020, the District of Sechelt created a series of video-based art talks with local artists. Click one of the images below to hear artists discuss their work.
