The District of Sechelt has two different mobile vending programs, General and Seasonal. MOBILE FOOD TRUCK

The District Mobile Vending  is intended to:

  • Enhance a vibrant community environment;
  • Provide a reliable and consistent level of service to residents and visitors to the District;
  • Provide a variety of quality food and beverages at reasonable prices; and
  • Ensure that the community's right of choice is recognized and preserved.

General

Apply Now

General Mobile Vending is for vendors operating on a public road.

 Applicants are required to do and provide the following:

  • Complete a general mobile vending application form;
  • General liability insurance (outlined on the application); and
  • Payment of applicable deposits and fees (outlined on the application).

Seasonal

Seasonal Mobile Vending is a program that runs from March to October annually.

Seasonal Mobile Vendors are permitted to use a parcel of municipal land identified for such purpose in Bylaw 480 for a period of time ranging from one day up to a maximum of eight (8) consecutive months.

The District is primarily interested in providing permits to Operators providing food services. However, the District will consider applications from Operators who are interested in selling products other than food (e.g. Paddle Board Rentals or Mobile Flower Vendors).

The intention of the District is to enter into up to four (4) separate mobile vending permits with Operators: one permit per Site.
