Plumbing Permit
What is a Plumbing System?
As defined by the District of Sechelt Building Bylaw No. 409, 2003 and the current edition of the BC Plumbing Code;
Plumbing system means a drainage system, a venting system and a water system or parts thereof.
Plumbing Permits are required for:
- Installation, alteration or additions of Plumbing Systems
- Replacement of Storm and Sanitary Sewers
- Replacement of Watermains
- Replacement of some fixtures
- Fire Sprinkler systems
- Irrigation system connections
- Backflow Preventer installation or replacement
- Solar Hot Water systems
- Auxiliary Water systems
Plumbing Permits are not required for repairs.
Applications for Plumbing Permits can be made through the District of Sechelt’s online Permit system Cloudpermit.
