Stage 1 Water Restriction in Effect
Sechelt is now on Stage 1 water restrictions. Each year, the Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) enacts Stage 1 automatically on May 1st to promote water conservation and ensure water supply and treatment systems can meet the large seasonal increase in outdoor water use during the summer.
Treated water is expensive and precious. Rethinking how we use treated water will help everyone in the long run.
EVEN numbered addresses = Tu/Thur/Sun
ODD numbered addresses = Mon/Wed/Sat
Lawn watering:
- sprinkler, soaker, microsrpayer: Two days per week 7-8 am (Thu/Sun for even and Wed/Sat for odd)
Trees, shrubs, flowers, food producing plants:
- sprinkler, soaker, microsrpayer: Three days per week 7-9 am and 7-9 pm
- hand-held hose with a nozzle, container or drip: Anytime
Washing vehicles or boats:
- hand-held hose with a nozzle, container or commercial car wash: Anytime
Filling pools, spas, ponds, fountains:
- Permitted anytime
