Councillor Brenda Rowe
Councillor Rowe moved to the Sunshine Coast in 1996 where she raised two boys.
Brenda graduated from Okanagan College with a nursing degree and has worked at the Sechelt Hospital (formerly, St. Mary’s Hospital) since 1996. As an RN, Brenda has had several positions at the hospital and now works as Coordinator of Home & Community Care.
Volunteer work in the community includes not only Minor Hockey, Seniors Planning Table and PAC Chair at West Sechelt Elementary but also co-founding two non-profit organizations. Kids for Kids Promoting Education Society provides education and agriculture programs in Kenya and Rwanda. The Ruby Slipper Fund provides financial support to those experiencing a cancer diagnosis, as well as equipment purchases for the palliative care program.
