Your Vote Matters

This October, Sechelt elects the leaders who will guide our District from 2026 to 2030. 

Eligible voters will elect 

• One Mayor
• Six Councillors
• Three Trustees to the Board of Education for School District 46

The next municipal election will be held Saturday, October 17, 2026.

Wednesday October 7 and 14 - Advanced Voting, 8 am to 8 pm
Sechelt Aquatic Centre, Fitness Room (enter through external doors near crosswalk)

• Wed Oct 7 - Advanced voting opportunity
• Wed Oct 14 - Advanced voting opportunity

Saturday October 17 - General Voting Day, 8 am to 8pm

• Sechelt Seniors Activity Centre
• West Sechelt Elementary
• Davis Bay Elementary

Tuesday September 1 - Candidate Nomination period opens at 9 am
Tuesday September 8 - Mail Ballots request form available online
Friday September 11 - Candidate Nomination period closes at 4 pm
Friday September 18 - Declaration of Candidates at close of Election Period
