Your Vote Matters

This October, Sechelt elects the leaders who will guide our District from 2026 to 2030. 

Eligible voters will elect 

  • One Mayor
  • Six Councillors
  • Three Trustees to the Board of Education for School District 46

The next municipal election will be held Saturday, October 17, 2026.

Tues Sept 1 - Candidate Nomination period opens at 9 am
Tues Sept 8 - Mail Ballots request form available
Fri Sept 11 - Candidate Nomination period closes at 4 pm

Oct 7 and 14 - Advanced Voting, 8 am to 8 pm
Sechelt Aquatic Centre, Fitness Room (enter through external doors near crosswalk)

  • Wed Oct 7 - Advanced voting opportunity
  • Wed Oct 14 - Advanced voting opportunity

Sat Oct 17 - General Voting Day, 8 am to 8pm

  • West Sechelt Elementary
  • Davis Bay Elementary
