Home Owner Grant

All home owner grant applications are to be submitted directly to the Province of BC before the property tax deadline.
Residents in municipalities no longer apply through their municipal office.
The District of Sechelt is not responsible for applying for the Home owner grant on behalf of residents.

The Home owner grant program is administered by the Province of BC. The Taxpayer must directly apply for the homeowner grant each year. Only one grant can be claimed for a property each year. Find out when and how to apply for the homeowner grant. You may also be able to apply for a retroactive grant if you qualified last year but didn't apply.

Penalties include unclaimed Home Owner Grants.

If you qualify for the Home Owner Grant (HOG), you must apply each year to receive it. A payment does not have to be made to claim the grant.

Retroactive Home Owner Grant applications are being accepted online.

Learn more about qualifying, retroactive grants, application status all on the Province website.

You can also apply with the Province by phone at 1-888-355-2700.
