2025 Annual Report Approved
At their meeting on Wednesday June 17, Council received and reviewed the District’s 2025 Annual Report.
Following a two-week period for public review and input, the published report highlights the District of Sechelt’s actions and accomplishments in advancing Council and corporate strategic goals throughout 2025. The added financial statements reflect the highest standards of government accountability.

Council Bylaw AmendmentsThe District of Sechelt is considering amending its Council Procedure Bylaw. The proposed amendment was given three readings by Council on April 1, 2026, and will be considered for adoption at the May 6, 2026, Regular Council Meeting.

Condolences to Tumbler RidgeIn the wake of the tragic shooting that took place in Tumbler Ridge on February 10th, Council sends this letter of condolences to the northern municipality and its residents:
On behalf of Mayor and Council and the residents of the District of Sechelt, we extend our deepest condolences to Mayor Krakowka, Council, staff and entire community of Tumbler Ridge in the wake of this devastating tragedy.
We are profoundly saddened by the loss of life and the suffering experienced by your community.
