Time to Renew Business and Pet Licences

Do you have a business licence or a dog licence? If so, it's time to renew for 2024. Deadline: January 31, 2024. You can renew, register and pay online, just click "Online Services" on the homepage.
Once in the Online Services section click "Login" to access your account or "Register" to create an account. With an account you can see your personal info, make payments and see payment history regarding your licences and property tax.

NOTICE OF COUNCIL PROCEDURE BYLAW AMENDMENT
Pursuant to the Community Charter, notice is hereby given that the District of Sechelt Council is proposing to amend Council Procedure Bylaw No. 568, 2018 and is required to give public notice. In general terms, proposed amendments include, but are not limited to:
- Compliance with Council Code of Conduct Bylaw and Amendments;
- Chief Administrative Officer or delegate has final discretion for agendas;
- Amendments to Order of Proceedings and Business;
Municipal Hall Holiday Closure

Sechelt Municipal Hall will be closed from December 23 to January 1. Regular operating hours will resume on January 2, 2024.

- report an issue online
- email the bylaw department
- put through a notice using your Sechelt Citizen App.
CANCELLED: Budget Information Session #2

Please note that the second round of budget engagement on December 18th is cancelled because no changes have been made to the draft budget since the first round. This includes both sessions scheduled for noon and 7 p.m.
Another session will be held in early January pending any change requests from Council. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Over to Ottawa
At the end of November, I travelled to Ottawa for the Green Municipal Fund Council meetings (you may recall I am one of six municipal representatives on this national body.) I took the opportunity to head there two days early to meet with various federal department representatives and MPs.
